FAQ
A small amount of blood from your body and processes it in centrifuge to separate the components into eight growth factors and proteins. PRP is then injected using a tiny needle on the Micropen or with Cannula directly in to the damaged area. These tiny injections trigger the production of collagen and elastin to add volume to the skin resulting in thicker dermis. This added volume dramatically reduces the appearance of fine lines and facial creases through the treatment process.
What is PRP Hair Growth Treatment?
PRP is an all-natural, non-invasive therapy that stimulates hair follicles to regrow your own hair while reducing thinning hair in both men and women without surgery or harmful side effects. The process is simple and takes less than 30 minutes per treatment.
How Does PRP Hair Growth Treatment work?
Blood platelets contain 7 healing growth factors. These growth factors act as sentinels that give instructions to your tissue to regenerate and multiply. PRP hair loss therapy mainly targets the Dermal Papilla, a component of the hair follicle to activate the follicle and regrow hair. The process is virtually pain free & requires no downtime.
Dr. Sypien, MD evaluates patient’s individual factors at the Ageless MedSpa including age, gender, sun exposure, smoking and health history to determine the optimum number of procedures to achieve the desired results. Most patients will need between 3-6 treatments for best results.
We recommend 1 treatment every 4-6 weeks to give the skin time to heal between procedures.
PRP facial rejuvenation is a safe and effective procedure that uses the body’s natural healing power (growth factors). The most common side effects are mild swelling and a mild “sunburnt” feeling for 3-7 days following the procedure. PRP is extracted from your own blood which eliminates the risk of disease transmission, allergic reaction or immune reaction. There are certain patients with health conditions or blood disorders which may limit its use.
